Pears with saffron on greek yogurt

Ingredients for 4 people


2 pears (not too ripe)

50 saffron stigmas

4 white sugar tablespoons 

1  tablespoon of pine nuts or toasted sliced almonds 


400 g greek yogurt (Fage type)

1 tablespoon of acacia honey or saffron honey

Peel the pears, cut them into cubes, place in a saucepan with sugar water and saffron.
Cook until the water will decrease and the fruit becomes caramelized.
Divide yogurt mixed with honey into 4 cups.
Add the pears and decorate with toasted nuts.

You can also cook the whole pear, peeled and cored , keeping the petiole. In this case, be careful not to flake or caramelize!
